The Blinn Dental Experience
Dr. Leonid Blinn
Dr. Leonid Blinn was born in Kiev, Ukraine during a very turbulent time. His family was able to escape and found refuge in the United States of America. He grew up in Brooklyn, New York before his family moved to New Jersey. He graduated cum laude from The University of Miami in 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. He completed his dental education and received his D.M.D. degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 2012. He is an active member in the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association and Manatee County Dental Association. Dr. Blinn was also a participant in multiple dental related events that periodically reached out to less privileged in the hopes of promoting the benefits of improved oral health care.
Upon graduation, Dr. Blinn relocated to the great state of Florida to begin practicing general dentistry. He has attended over 100 hours of Continuing Education topics ranging from Implant Dentistry to Invisalign. Dr. Blinn has a refreshing chairside manner with his patients. He will get to know you and take the time to listen to you. Patients and staff love Dr Blinn’s fun loving and caring personality. He will be there to make sure you are comfortable and provide you with the best possible dental care in a family like atmosphere. Dr. Blinn and his dental team will offer the highest level of care and compassion to our patients, that creates a lasting relationship of trust and loyalty.
Dr. Blinn loves Florida Living with his wife Sarah and three amazing children, Karter, River and Boston. He also enjoys golf, fishing and considers himself a food enthusiast.
Dr. Parker Macphail
Dr. Mac was born and raised in Sarasota, FL. He moved to North Carolina to complete his undergraduate education on a baseball scholarship before completing his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in New England. Dr. Mac is excited to be back in Sarasota where he can enjoy the sunshine, beaches and family all while treating the community he grew up in!
Dr. Mac's Mission is to treat every patient with the compassion, empathy, and care that he would want for himself or his family. He strives to treat each patient with the comprehensive care and dental experience that they deserve. Dr. Mac is an active member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, West Coast Dental Association, and is currently completing his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry at the University of Florida’s Comprehensive Dental Program. Dr. Mac has an unwavering commitment to excellence and a dedication to provide patients with the information they need to have the best clinical outcomes.
Blinn beauty vault
sarah blinn aprn, cnm
Sarah is Dr. Blinn’s wife, she is a board certified advanced practice nurse practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife. After delivering babies at all hours of the night for the past 4 years, she decided to take a break and assist her husband in opening his own practice. She plans to continue to help women (and men) through aesthetics, providing neurotoxin (Botox, Xeomin) and facial filler services in the Blinn Beauty Vault, located inside the Blinn Dental office. Sarah looks forward to having more time to spend with their three young children!
Sarah is originally from Shelton, Connecticut and met Dr. Blinn when they were both in undergrad at the University of Miami. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Miami and continued on to receive her Master’s in Nursing from the University of Florida. She has a diverse nursing background including trauma, neuro, cardiac and of course obstetrics. You are in very capable hands when you visit the Blinn Beauty Vault! In her free time she enjoys challenging herself at Burn Boot Camp and being the best mom she can be!

Tamra
Tamra is passionate about providing patients with the best dental experience possible. She greets patients with a friendly smile the moment they walk in the front door. Tamra began her dental career over 29 years ago as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant. You will come to know Tamra as a competent, caring and non-judgmental dental care liaison. Patients and staff enjoy Tamra’s lighthearted, positive and calming personality!
In her spare time, she loves traveling with her husband and enjoying time with her beautiful grandchildren.

Colleen takes pride in everything she does and is passionate about making sure patients receive the highest quality service when they visit our office. Colleen’s warm smile always makes our patients feel welcome when they arrive. She began her dental career over 10 years ago as a Certified Dental Assistant. Colleen enjoys interacting with patients and is always willing to lend a helping hand. Our patients and staff enjoy her sweet, positive personality and radiant smile.
In her spare time, Colleen loves long walks with her dog and spending time with her family.
HYGIENE TEAM
LINDSEY
Lindsey graduated from Ferris State University's Dental Hygiene program in 2019. She recently moved to Florida from Michigan in October 2023 with her husband and 2 australian shepherds. She is commited to educating patients on the importance of good oral hygiene to maintain overall health. She goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable while under her care while being gentle, but thorough. With that being said, she genuinely enjoys being a dental hygienist and strives to help patients reach their goals to achieve a beautiful smile and happy gums.
In her free time Lindsey loves to workout, travel, and is always on the hunt for a good coffee shop.
KIRSTEN
Kirsten is a third generation Floridian, who grew up in Sarasota Florida. After graduating from Riverview High Kirsten then received her Bachelor's of Science degree from the University of Florida, and her dental hygiene degree from Santa Fe College. While in school, Kirsten worked in the research labs in the College of Dentistry and the College of Medicine where she loved being around cutting edge, technology and research in the dental field.
Kirsten's favorite part of being a hygienist is meeting and developing relationships with her patients and their families and she enjoys hearing about what's new and exciting in their lives. She loves the fact that she can help her patients achieve long term dental health keeping the total body health in mind. In her spare time Kirsten loves spending time with her two girls, learning how to cook new and exotic dishes, and rooting for the Florida Gators!

Melissa
Melissa has been in the dental field for over 24 years. She recieved her radiology license from the University of Florida and her EFDA at the School of Dentistry in St. Petersburg.
She is passionate about dentistry and takes great care in making sure patients are comfortable and at ease.
Melissa was born in Honolulu Hawaii, then went to elementary school in Frankfort Germany, a true "ARMY Bratt". She lived all over the United States before settling in Florida.
In Melissa's spare time she loves to boat with her fiancé Tyler and dog Shadow. She loves science fiction books and movies, especially Star Wars.
Karen
Karen is a wonderful asset to our team. She is bilingual (Spanish and English). Karen strives to make sure patients are at ease and comfortable. She values a hard-working team and recognizes the benefit of paying attention to detail.
Karen was born in Mexico City and moved to Florida at the age of eight. She earned her Dental Assistant Certification in 2019.
In Karen's free time she enjoys going for runs, outdoor activities, and spending time with her cat.
